Richard Macalister is the third generation of four in the same bay off Queen Charlotte Sound spanning 100 years.

A good friend and team mate of Sir Peter Blake in the Whitbread round the world race. Competed in 11 Sydney to Hobart races and other world titles to back that up.

In a casual cafe setting, Cafe Nautique hosts Waitohi-Picton and Marlborough Sounds connected speakers on the last Wednesday of each month (April-November).
