Cafe Nautique - Dave Baker
Date: 26/11/2025
Time: 18:00
Dave Baker was living at the top of the Marlborough Sounds when the MS Mikhail Lermontov tore a hole in it's hull and sank. What was his role in what was to become an international incident.
A life of diving and then onto commercial fishing. And clearly from the photos, question time will bring out plenty more stories in this session of Café Nautique.
In a casual cafe setting, Cafe Nautique hosts Waitohi-Picton and Marlborough Sounds connected speakers on the last Wednesday of each month (April-November).
Our guest speaks for 15-20 minutes. We take a break to top up glasses and refill plates. Then it's back for questions and more stories.
At the end, we've all learnt a bit more about where we live and with whom we share this part of the world.
