The Tasman Mako are coming to town this weekend and they have offered fans a chance to watch them go through their paces, then meet the players afterwards.
The Mako men open their Bunnings Warehouse NPC campaign against Southland at Lansdowne Park on Sunday, kick off 2.05pm, and will have their final captain’s run on Saturday, beginning at 1.40pm on the main ground.
Fans and other interested parties are invited to come along from 1.40pm-3pm to watch the Mako side train and then meet and greet the team from 3pm-4pm. All are welcome.
Sunday’s action begins with a Mako women’s Farah Palmer Cup clash, against North Harbour, also at Lansdowne Park, with a 11.35am kick-off. The Mako women began their 2022 FPC campaign with a loss to 29-10 Northland in Whangarei, before downing Taranaki 27-17 at Trafalgar Park last weekend. Harbour overcame Taranaki 21-10 in round one, so a close match is in prospect.
