A slightly cool and cloudy day did nothing to curb the enthusiasm and efforts of Marlborough Girls’ College students at their annual cross-country day.
On Friday, May 2, the day labelled the ‘Great Escape’, students and staff took to the hills to run or walk various courses at the Wither Hills Farm Park.
House flags flew proudly and colourful uniforms abounded as some of the students warmed up with song and dance.
Fastest time of the day was registered by Fenella Cooney, who was a clear winner of the under-19 race over 3km in the smart time of 12.45 minutes.
