The region’s annual Future of Work conference on Wednesday allowed thousands of students a glimpse of a potential future, but for one teenager it prompted memories of days gone by.
To her surprise, Marlborough Girls’ College student, Celia Spencer, spotted a familiar family scene on the Communications table shared by the Marlborough District Council and Top South Media.
Gracing the front of the Destination Marlborough Future Path Project booklet was a photograph of herself and her family, taken on a jetty down the Sounds many years ago.
Celia recalled the photo being taken, but didn’t know what it was for at the time and didn’t realise the family portrait would eventually achieve pride of place on the front of the glossy booklet.
