A lucky local is set to win a brand-new Suzuki Swift while supporting crucial healthcare.
Hospice Marlborough have started their newest fundraiser, supported by MotorWorld Blenheim and Ray White Blenheim/Picton, on Monday.
The goal of selling 1000 $50 tickets for the raffle – providing $50,000 of the $850,000 Hospice needs to raise annually to continue providing free care – needs to be met by the draw date on October 3.
“The Hospice in Taupō has had a car raffle before which are really successful for them, and Hospice Marlborough reached out last year, so we’ve had this in the works for a little while now”, said MotorWorld owner Jared Morris.
“I hope people buy every ticket because Hospice are giving much better odds to win a great little car than the Lotto does to win. Hospice is worthwhile as everyone will have some involvement with throughout their lives and it’s a huge fundraiser for them, so it’s a pleasure to get aboard”, added Ray White Blenheim co-director Braden Stanton.
Hospice Marlborough Chief Executive Carole Crawford hopes the combination of a worthy cause and a great prize will see plenty of interest.
“We are delighted to continue amazing collaborative relationships, with the generosity of MotorWorld, Ray White Blenheim/Picton, the Rapid Relief Team and BB Signs, without which our work in the community is compromised.
“You’ll have a chance to win the car, but also the satisfaction of contributing to fundraising for Hospice Marlborough - every $50 really makes a difference to the patients and whānau we support. Thank you, Marlborough - I’ll see you at the live draw.”
