Kindy kids get taste of the Islands

Some of Marlborough’s kindergarten kids have experienced the Pacific at home, engaging in traditions from the Islands as part of their early childhood education.
Redwoodtown and Mayfield Kindergartens has been participating in learning around ensuring their environments and curriculum supports Pacific learners locally, as well as generating cultural understanding for their classmates.
To celebrate and share this, they provided afternoon tea for the wider Pasifika community across Marlborough, with displays and activities for the children to do and performances of Samoan pepese/songs prepared by Mayfield children.
