The instillation of two E6 Golf simulators at the Simcox Indoor Sports Stadium on Battys Rd has seen local golfers eager to tee off indoors.

Simcox Stadium manager Dorothy Fitzpatrick was pleased to offer a new way for people to experience the popular sport together.

“There’s many uses, from allowing in-depth coaching with the top-down cameras on a driving range or playing a whole golf course, as well as being another great offering for work events and parties here”, says Dorothy.

The Stadium has had to be reconfigured to include the golf simulators, with storage rooms and a fast-pace cricket bowling lane removed, but the owners hope that the investment will bring golfers to the stadium, as well as introducing people to the sport.

“It has been on the agenda for us for a while, as my golfing sons have been to them in other towns, but we needed to develop the space to host the two simulators and learn the simulator system”, says Dorothy.

“Having Aotea Electrical host the E6 Golf systems allowed me to see them at work and we’ve got full faith they’ll be great, but people have to call us up to book in because we’re expecting them to be popular.”
