Whether through visiting Brayshaw Park’s car show, volunteering for Friday’s collection day or simply purchasing a real or fake daffodil, many Marlburians have put their efforts into fundraising for their local Cancer Society in 2025.
The Marlborough Weekly went and visited each of the fundraising stalls throughout the day around central Blenheim.
The local fundraising was supplemented by the PGG Wrightson real estate awards, where Nelson/Marlborough Sales Manager Joe Blakiston arranged celebrity wine auction challenges for four bottles of wine provided by Fruited Supplies’ Blair McLean across both the North and South Island awards nights that raised a total $4550.
The PGG Wrightson Real Estate team visited the Cancer Society’s daffodil packaging at the Vintage Car Club on Thursday to hand over the cheque to the Marlborough Cancer Society’s Dallace Lilley.
“Daffodil Day fundraisers each year always resonate with the wider PGG staff as we have all been close to people who have gone through the rigours of a cancer diagnosis”, said Joe.
