The artistic flair derived from experiences of home across Marlborough’s cultures is now on full display at the Marlborough Art Society.

The new “My Art My Story” exhibition, brought together for the region’s Welcoming Week over the past few months, aims to highlight diverse art from newcomer and migrant communities with artists sharing the stories behind their creations.

“Alongside Welcoming Communities and the MAS, we’ve been running a series of Chinese, Korean, Latin American and generally multicultural night classes for the past eight weeks”, says Marlborough Multicultural Centre’s Marcelo Gonzalez.

“While they’ve been working alongside one another, there’s been no set plan, but the pieces have combined together into a wonderful display.”

The ‘My Art My Story’ exhibition runs from August 30 - September 14 at the Marlborough Art Society, 204 High Street, Blenheim.
