A&P Park is the place to be for Friday’s SpringFest 2025 Youth Festival – an event run, funded, soundtracked, staffed and organised by Marlborough’s youth.

SpringFest Youth Festival is run with the help of Marlborough’s Youth Trust, funded by Marlborough Youth Council, and features local young businesses, musicians, and DJs all brought together for the goal of a great evening for young people in a healthy party atmosphere.

And whether it’s going for a dance as the sun sets, chatting in the chill-out rooms, checking out a Top of the South modified car display, climbing on the Youth Trust’s climbing wall, goals are to provide a safe and sociable place for Saturday evening fun while fundraising for continued youth events.

The Marlborough Youth Trust believes providing safe party spaces is important for teaching proper social interactions.

“We’re really excited for Saturday, as there’s been a lot of work behind the scenes to focus in on what fun young people want to see and to encourage positive places to hang out and catch up”, says MYT’s Lottie Savage.

“They wanted to have a little festival of their own, so we’re happy to bring that festival feeling for an evening.

“Having performances from three bands, three soloists and the QCC Kapa Haka, as well as opportunities for people to step up to the mic, creates chances to foster that local musical talent and show their peers a great night out.

“One of our artists I actually saw first on TikTok and messaged her saying what we were doing so I’m so glad she’s coming, and another has come from matching together a drummer and bassist with a singer and guitarist who separately came to us”, added MYT’s Maxine Anderson-Sweeney.

“There’s many different people pushing behind this, because all of these supporters know and believe in the talent, responsibility and spirit of our young people and want to give them the opportunity to have fun, be themselves and show what a fun festive atmosphere looks like.

SpringFest Youth Festival at A&P Park stage runs from 6pm to 10pm with a $5 door charge. Get tickets at EventFinda or on entry.
