One dead after Ure Road crash

One person has died, while two received moderate injuries following an afternoon crash south of Ward closed the road until 12.25am this morning
Emergency responders and the Serious Crash Unit closed State Highway 1 between Ward and Wharenui settlements near Ure Road, which is approximately 50km south of Blenheim, for nearly nine hours.
Fire and Emergency confirmed that four fire engines from Flaxbourne, Seddon, and Blenheim were attending a heavy rescue motor vehicle crash reported at 2.51pm yesterday afternoon, alongside police and St John Ambulance.
