The Marlborough Vintage Car Club was revved up to reveal that during their Daffodil Day Show n’ Shine fundraiser day raised $11,000 for the region’s Cancer Society.

With the event on August 24 seeing a sunny day at Brayshaw Park enjoyed by thousands of guests, and a range of ways people could contribute to the coffers of the region’s Cancer Society, all involved have been thrilled by the result and look forward to their next opportunity to show their support locals in their battle against cancer.

“We deeply appreciate the generosity of our community, as they have the understanding that what is raised stays here”, said Cancer Society general manager Phillipa Hatton.

“Next year, I want to go for a ride in one of these amazing vehicles”.
