A redeveloped Cityfitness welcomed both long-term Blenheim members and curious new converts to its opening day on Monday morning.

The new gym, in the former Noel Leeming premises, has updated the Blenheim branch to the uniform standard of Cityfitness gyms.

“It’s been a really awesome first day, I haven’t really had a chance to stop but I don’t think people were quite expecting what they’ve received today, which is honestly so much more that even I thought”, said club manager Rachael Warmouth.

Improvements include a physical recovery room, on-demand pilates studio and group fitness studio, and plenty of brand-new gym equipment crafted to the existing usage patterns of Blenheim members.

Equipment from the former Nelson Street site will be removed from the site and repurposed throughout Cityfitness gyms across the country.
