The roaring planes across Marlborough skies over the past 10 days have come to an end after Joint Training Exercise Tūhono Rangi saw the Royal New Zealand Air Force welcome two A400M Atlas transports, an Airbus A330 and an Airbus 321, and their crews from the “Luftwaffe” – the German Air Force - to Base Woodbourne.

German crews appreciated the opportunity to work alongside their local counterparts, with the valued opportunities for low level flying practising tactical supply drops, short-field landings, parachute trainings and inter-military operations.
