Blenheim’s streets will come alive with festive cheer as the annual Christmas Parade returns on Saturday 13th December, followed by Christmas in the Park at Pollard Park.

Pure Events Marlborough is teaming up with Marlborough District Council to deliver what promises to be a spectacular day for the community.

“We were overwhelmed by the community spirit and creativity this year,” Pure Events' Katrina Lange says.

“With just under 40 floats, we’re at full capacity. It’s going to be an even bigger and more fabulous Christmas extravaganza for the kids.”

The parade will start at 3.30pm from Blenheim School, featuring a mix of old favourites and exciting new entries. Santa will make his way through town before continuing to Pollard Park on the Marlborough Lines Sleigh Float to open the evening concert.

“There’s something for everyone,” Katrina says. “From festive music and ice cream to Cookie Time biscuits, the pre-parade concert in the Forum from 3pm is a great way to kick off the celebrations.”

After the parade, families can head to Pollard Park for Mitre 10 Mega Marlborough Christmas in the Park from 5pm to 7pm. The event will feature two hours of entertainment, food vendors and plenty of space for a picnic.

“This is about bringing the community together,” Katrina says.

“We love seeing the joy on people’s faces and the creativity that goes into these floats.”
