This is no ordinary Marlborough summer, and mercurial weather continues into this week – notably the next few days.
MetService advises Marlburians to expect heavy rain Tuesday south of Seddon and north of the Rangitata River. This severe weather watch indicates a 20-hour window from 2am to 10pm.
The meteorological service says that "precipitation may fall as snow above about 1200 metres Tuesday afternoon and evening." There's a "moderate chance" of the watch becoming a warning.
