Marlborough Wine and Food Festival attendees should look skyward at 1:25pm on Saturday for an aerial salute from the Black Falcons.

Royal New Zealand Air Force announced that the team will take off from RNZAF Base Ohakea around 12.50pm, fly over Renwick, then head to Christchurch via Hanmer Springs and Amberley for the Kathmandu Coast to Coast. Plans are subject to change due to weather or operational considerations.

"Saturday will be the first time for a long while that the Black Falcons have been able to appear in front of large audiences down south," Lieutenant Commander StephenKnowles said. "It’s exhilarating to fly military aircraft and take part in aerobatic displays, and we hope it will be exhilarating to watch, too."
