Road’s tragic toll
Re: “SH1 crash fatal”
Oh no, not again.

Time for a tunnel to Seddon. I almost copped it there once by passing downhill going northbound only to find a truck was around the corner. Please slow down. It’s not a rush – unless you are in a rush to a coffin. My condolences to the family who lost their loved ones.
—John Marks
We drove home through there when the road finally reopened. Expected the worst but was very much plain sailing with the exception of two uncertain drivers; seemed to have no confidence whatsoever. We just have to be extra vigilant in these real touristy and scenic areas.

Re: “Building iwi relations”
You'll be great, Jimmy, at this role of supporting and advocating for the vulnerable. Police have not got a good history and targeting when interacting communicating with vulnerable communities.

Best person for this role. You will do great things and make such a positive impact in so many young kids’ lives, making their time with you life-changing and inspiring – a firm but fair positive leader guiding them and helping them to succeed in life. Beyond proud of your dedication to helping our community. Arohanui!

Can't think of a better person for the job. They are lucky to have you.

Re: “Hotel developers lease car park”
Where do all the workers park now? I once saw a parking officer issue five $70 parking tickets at 11:55am on a Saturday morning. No wonder the town is dying. Here’s an idea: How about the Council let the driving community define what it needs? All formal carparks should be eight hours and street spaces two hours max; problem solved!
