Charity sales
Blenheim South Rotary has started gathering items for the club’s fourth annual Mammoth Garage Sale and Book Fair.

The fundraiser, on 15-17 May at Witherlea Racecourse, benefits local projects. Rotarians accept donations at the site 2-4pm Wednesdays and 9am-noon Saturdays. They also pick up items; phone 020 4182 2788 to schedule a collection.

Meanwhile, the Clothing Carousel Sustainable Community Market is preparing for its 19 April sale, 10am-1pm at Marlborough Youth Trust Blenheim. Proceeds will go to the New Zealand Blood Cancer Foundation.

Safe on the Sounds
Coastguard Marlborough is hosting a Safer Boating Workshop on Saturday at Picton Marina. The course, running 10am-2pm, is free and for all ages.

Southward bound
After a successful event in Marlborough, the GODZONE adventure race heads farther south on the South Island, setting Mount Cook as the site of the 2027 running.

Chapter 13 will take place 25 February to 5 March over a 600km course through the Mackenzie District. Marlborough hosted Chapter 12 in early December.Team registration for the upcoming event opens online 1 May at 9am.
