Dogs are being put through their paces prior to a special event on the Blenheim Canine Training Club calendar.

Training and preparation are well underway for the club’s forthcoming Championship Show, to be staged at the Rewi Murray Polo Park on 26-27 April.

Saturday afternoon at A&P Park, show manager Sandra Goodwin worked with her beardie border collie Sako, who cleared jumps in readiness for the event.

“Dogs will be coming from all over the country, so there will be some special talent on show,” she explained during a pause in practising.  “And it is not just an event particularly for dog-lovers, either – it will be an exciting spectacle for all.”
Admission is free.
