Sam goes for a wander (again)

A celebrated feline in Springlands has disappeared, and his owners are asking Marlburians if they have seen him.

“Sam is very well known in Springlands because he spends a lot of his time in the school grounds and in McKendry Park orchard,” owner Glyn Walters said. “He’s been the unofficial park guardian for the last six years -- and half of Springlands seems to know him. A lot of the school children know him by name.”

Glyn and his family adopted the tortoiseshell-and-white cat in January, after Sam’s first owner died.

“Sam is a lovely character, very laid back and friendly, and someone may have taken him in,” Glyn surmised. “He went for a big wander a couple of years ago and ended up in Fairhall, a long distance from home!”

Sam is a large tomcat, neutered and microchipped. Text 021 278 6858 if you think you have seen him.
