Serious crash on Waihopai Valley Road

Emergency services responded on midmorning Friday to a single-vehicle crash on Waihopai Valley Road in Marlborough which police classified as a "serious" incident.

Police said the crash between Shandon Road and Omaka Downs Road was reported about 10:05am.

One person was reported to have critical injuries, and traffic management is in place. Per police, "Further details will be released when we are in a position to do so."
