Riverwalk talk
Re: “Mystery of the phantom fountain”
Fountain like everything else was probably not maintained, then removed when not working?
—David Rennie
Cuddon has it at their workshop.
—Darren Fowke
Maybe the councillors are at last looking at costs and decided it was too costly. If Raupō wants it back, maybe they should pay for it.
—John and Bronwyn Yarrall
When this area was developed 20-odd years ago, the plan was for events, bands, music, etc, to bring people into the town. Never happened.

Re: “Miracle man back from the dead”
So glad to hear Hone [Koreko] is doing well after his horrible heart attack – a great man and great ref.

—Timmy Coleman

Re: “Family of baby still sought”
Was hoping the lack of reporting meant they found the family. DNA will uncover all.
—Nicci Fitzgerald
Pray for the investigators find the answers they need to resolve this.
—Gracie Gumbrell
How desperate must this mum have been to abandon her baby this way?
—Trish Rennie
Sadly, it isn’t always desperation. Hence the importance of finding whoever gave birth to the baby – either to make her safe and get the help she needs while sorting out the perpetrator, or to ensure there is justice if the baby was simply abandoned to die cold, starving, exhausted and alone.
— Ezra Wells
This hurts my heart. Really does. Rest in peace, little one. You shouldn’t be alone, and I wish I could bury you with the love you deserve. My boy will look after you. Promise.
