WinePro NZ reinforced the wine industry’s determination to stay informed, connected and future-focused, despite ongoing sector challenges.
Held last Tuesday through Thursday (23-25 June) at Marlborough Lines Stadium 2000, the second edition of the event attracted wine producers, viticulturists, winemakers and industry suppliers from across Australia and New Zealand.
Attendees focused on discovering new technologies, products, services and ideas to drive efficiency, innovation and growth — with many conversations centred on improving performance amid a downturn in demand. The floor talk sessions were well attended each day.
Feedback from exhibitors, speakers and visitors was positive, highlighting the importance of a dedicated event that brings the industry together face-to-face.
The knock-on effect was also felt across Marlborough, with cafes and restaurants reporting increased trade during the week due to the influx of visitors.
“WinePro was never just about today; it was about helping businesses prepare for tomorrow,” organiser Gary Fitz-Roy said.
“In a challenging environment, it is encouraging to see so many industry professionals investing time in understanding what’s new, what’s changing and what opportunities lie ahead.”
