Al go for food side of festival

The ‘food’ section headliner of the 2025 Marlborough Wine and Food Festival has been announced as Al Brown and Polly Markus brings their creative food mind and talents.

Al, founder of Best Ugly Bagels, Depot and Federal Delicatessen, is a leading figure for New Zealand cuisine and restaurant culture, and a captivating entertainer on a variety of television shows and cookbooks.

As an ambassador for Regal Salmon, Al will demonstrate to festival guests how to create delicious salmon dishes at home in ways that bring out the best in the famed fish, fresh from the Marlborough Sounds.

Polly Markus, of Miss Polly’s Kitchen, will join Al in the Culinary Pavilion, who’s. Polly’s passion for food and her talent for creating comforting, delicious dishes resonate with everyone. Her vibrant energy and love for cooking make her a favourite among food lovers.

Alongside Polly and Al, many of Marlborough’s local culinary heroes will display their talents, using with products from small-scale local food producers while Fritz's Wieners, Sweet Creations, and Top of the South Seafood will be part of the Festival’s food findings.
