Mako games cancelled

The two Tasman Mako matches planned for Trafalgar Park on Sunday have been cancelled.

In light of the newly-announced COVID levels, New Zealand Rugby made the call to cancel rugby at all levels this coming weekend.

That means the planned double-header involving the Mako women against Manawatu, followed by the Mako men taking on Counties Manukau will not go ahead.

The Tasman Rugby Union advises, “Depending on Covid levels and Government restrictions moving forward, [the games] may get moved to Sunday, October 17 , with semi-finals and the final moving out a week”.

“Regardless, Tasman Rugby will refund all ticket purchasers to Sunday’s games. Should the match go ahead on Sunday, October 17, then we will re-ticket the event.”
