A trio of new trustees will take their seats on the Marlborough Electric Power Trust’s Board after winning more than 60 per cent of the vote.

Belinda Jackson, Brendon Burns and Simon Bishell, have been elected to Marlborough Electric Power Trust.

In a joint statement, the three say they are looking forward to representing the public.

“We would like to thank all those who have supported our campaign and provided us with a mandate for change.

“It will be a privilege to represent you as Trustees, and we will never take your support for granted.”

The  return percentage for the election was 22.85 per cent, being 6,066 valid voting papers, of which 86.55 per cent voted online and 13.45 per cent voted by post.

Responding to the results, the trio say they were looking forward to focusing on the road ahead.

“We are looking forward to forming collegial relationships with remaining Trustees and working with all stakeholders to best represent the needs of current and future consumer beneficiaries.”
