The local hospitality community took over the reigns to help Marlborough’s Riding for the Disabled raise vital funds.

Courses for Horses saw nine restaurants across Blenheim take part in a special dinner event on Thursday.

5Tapped, Astrolabe, Bamboo Garden, Cancun Eats, Dolce, Frank’s Oyster Bar, Gohan on Scott, Gramado’s, Scotch and The Tamarind hosted dinners for the RDA.

The guests joined the afterparty at 5Tapped for more fun, including prize draws and silent auctions.

Marlborough RDA president Belinda Jackson and Manager Jo Ross visited each restaurant on the night.

“We were overwhelmed by the support we’ve had,” Jo says.

“The vibe of the diners too has been incredibly fun.”

While Blenheim’s hospitality venues showed their support with food and drink, many other businesses also contributed to the evening with 26 items up for auction.

“We’re especially thankful to Haydn from 5Tapped for staying open later than usual as our after-party host,” Jo says.

The evening raised about $9533 for Marlborough’s RDA.
