Switch on to Trust possibilities

Marlborough Electric Power Trust is after new board members.

People keen to support the vision of energising Marlborough’s future are invited to put their names forward for election to the Marlborough Electric Power Trust.

Trust chair Nicki Stretch says three positions on the six member Trust are to be contested in next year’s election, and nominations are open now.

People need to live in Marlborough, be registered on the Kaikōura electorate roll, and to have an active Marlborough power account in their name to be eligible for nomination.

The Marlborough Electric Power Trust owns the shares in lines distribution company Marlborough Lines, on behalf of the power users of Marlborough.

Trustees are elected to a four-year term, with three trustees up for election every two years.

Marlborough Lines’ annual report is available online: www.marlboroughlines.co.nz or from the company at 2 Alfred Street, Blenheim.
