State Highway 6 has re-opened at Renwick following a crash earlier today.
A two-vehicle crash closed SH6 for almost three hours as emergency crews and contractors dealt with the aftermath of the accident.
Shortly after 7.30am this morning, emergency crews were called to the scene of the crash at the intersection of State Highway 6 and Old Renwick Road.
One person was assessed and treated at the scene, a Hato Hone St John spokesperson says.
“Hato Hone St John was notified of this crash on Blenheim and High streets at 7.31am, responding with one ambulance and one rapid response unit.
“One patient was assessed and treated at the scene by the crew and did not require transportation to hospital.”
A spokesman from NZTA/Waka Katohi wants to thank drivers for their patience and cooperation while emergency services and contractors worked on clearing the crash scene and reopening the highway.
But a spokesman is warning drivers to take extra care with weather warnings currently in place for the top of the South Island.
The Metservice has issued a Strong Wind Warning for the Marlborough Sounds and a Strong Wind Watch for the wider Marlborough region.
