Two vehicle crash blocks SH1

People have been seriously injured in a two vehicle crash near Grovetown.
Emergency services are at the scene near Lower Wairau Road following the crash which was reported about 1pm.
A police spokesperson says initial indications suggest there are serious injuries and the Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
The road is blocked and diversions are in place, motorists are advised to expect delays.
