Person dies after water incident

One person has died following a water incident in Marlborough overnight, police reveal.

Police were notified at 7:44 this morning that a person was missing from a boat in Titirangi Bay in the outer Marlborough Sounds near Guards Bay.

A person was located deceased in the water shortly after 9:40am following a search and who police have since been confirmed as the missing person.
