David Robert Buick "Dave"

Died peacefully at Wairau Hospital on Thursday, July 2, 2026, aged 84 years.

Dearly loved husband of Lauren. Much loved brother and brother-in-law of Ross (deceased) and Bronwyn, Ian and Ange, Alan and Carol, Robyn, Wayne (deceased) and Marie, Lynn and Will (deceased), Mike and Cindy, Rex and Rose.

A legendary Uncle and Poppa Dave to his extensive family of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A true character who was always up for a joke and a good yarn. He will be deeply missed by a vast circle of friends.

A service for David will be held at the Yealands Awatere Memorial Hall, Foster Street, Seddon on Wednesday, July 8, at 2 pm, followed by private cremation. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed on the Cloudy Bay Funeral Services website.
