On 12 August 2026 at Springlands Lifestyle Village, surrounded by family, in his 89th year.

Much loved husband of the late Gillian and a loved father and father-in-law of Joy Crump and John Gilchrist, and Ross and Heather Crump. Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Paul, and Pamela,  and a loved uncle and great uncle to all his extended family. He will be missed as an appreciated friend to many. Also, a big thank you to the staff at Springlands Lifestyle Village.

A Funeral Service for Michael will be held at the Springlands Chapel, Cloudy Bay Funeral Services, 15 Boyce Street, Springlands, Blenheim on Wednesday the 19th of August at 11am, followed by a private cremation. This service will be livestreamed and can be viewed on the Cloudy Bay Funeral Services website.
