Re: “Built for love”
Fantastic local achievement. It's a must stop and see icon on SH1 along the Kaikoura drive. —Judy Shone
What a great memorial to the families involved. So pleased it was able to be repaired. —Irene Anderson
I drove past two weeks ago – looked fantastic, including the new fence. Well done to all involved. —Mark Maffey
I have been watching the transformation over the last couple of years with many trips up and down that road. I remember stopping there for the first time with my grandparents, D’Arcy and Kate Lyford; would have been about 50 years ago. —Chris Kappelle
I popped in today. So calm and beautiful. —Rachael van Asch
Just wonderful – a very special place. Congratulations to the Murray family and all who supported. —Rose Prendeville

Re: “Eltham Road cycle lane set for renovations”
Finally, something constructive being done. —Roger Hyndman
And it only took close to 10 years for common sense to kick in. —Warren Peter
Was this a failed experiment? —Jennie Hopkins
Judging by the crazy mess of cars on Eltham Road before and after school, the number of kids riding bikes would be very low and those that do ride on the footpath anyway! —Grant Bancroft
The kerbing along Eltham Road has been a hazard since the former deputy mayor conceived of the idea years ago. It’s nothing short of a miracle someone hasn’t been wiped out dropping kids off as it’s far too narrow to navigate safely. Try driving a bus. A stupid idea from day one. —Peter Chapman
During the winter, I need to drive along there in the afternoon to get to Athletic Park. I usually try to avoid going along there around 3pm due to the utter chaos of kids, cars and parents. Turning right into Brewer Street often results in a traffic jam as there is barely enough room for two vehicles to pass each other. Very rarely do I see cyclists using the cycleway. —Simon Senior
This was such a waste of our rates money. —Mara Clarke
Providing safe cycling infrastructure is never a waste of time. Stop trying to please everyone; build it fit for purpose once and watch the numbers using it just keep increasing. —Helene Arker

Re: “Open letter to lumber lifter”
Shame on them thieves. —Kevin Johnson
So many low lives out there. Sad for the oldies wanting the wood. You can’t figure them out – no hearts. —Megan Solomon
That's so low. Hopefully karma train gets you. —Denise O'Malley Grey

Re: “Air Force Black Falcons flying over Marlborough”
Great use of taxpayers’ dollars. Not. —James Ross
